Chimney sweep in San Antonio
Eliminate Fire Hazards
Over time, highly flammable creosote builds up inside your flue from wood smoke. Regular sweeping removes this dangerous residue, significantly lowering your risk of a devastating chimney fire.
Protect Your Chimney Structure
Soot and creosote are acidic and trap moisture against your masonry and metal flue liners. Removing them prevents premature cracking, rust, and costly structural repairs.
Prevent Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
Leaves, debris, animal nests, or heavy soot can block your flue. A clear chimney ensures toxic gases safely vent outside rather than spilling into your living space.
Stop Pests and Blockages
Birds and wildlife frequently nest in idle chimneys during the off-season. Sweeping clears out hidden blockages and gives professionals a chance to install protective caps.
Maximize Heating Efficiency
When ash and soot restrict airflow, your fireplace struggles to burn cleanly. Professional cleaning restores proper draft, helping your system burn hotter, heat your home better, and use less fuel.
Maintain Insurance Coverage
Many homeowner insurance policies require documented annual chimney maintenance to keep fire damage claims valid.

Why San Antonio chimneys need regular sweeping
Central Texas burns a lot of oak, this lay down creosote fast - especially when fires smolder instead of burning hot. Add our spring storm seasons, which crack crowns and loosen flashing, and a chimney that looked fine two years ago can be a hazard today.
The Chimney Safety Institute of America recommends an annual inspection for every chimney, and sweeping whenever creosote buildup reaches 1/8 of an inch. Most San Antonio fireplaces we service are overdue.
Signs Your Chimney Needs Sweeping Now
* You smell smoke or a campfire odor when the fireplace isn't in use
* The damper is hard to open or won't seal shut
* You see black, flaky, or tar-like buildup inside the firebox
* Smoke backs up into the room when you burn
* Water stains appear on the ceiling or walls around the fireplace
* It's been more than a year since the last sweep - or you can't remember the last one
